Frequently Asked Questions
Do you edit your photos?
Absolutely! When you choose me as your photographer, all the images from your session will be carefully edited and retouched. I will ensure that the lighting is corrected, any unsightly objects or distractions in the background are removed, and blemishes are retouched. In creative sessions, I may also use my Photoshop skills to add some extra magic and enhance the overall artistic look of the images. Rest assured, you will receive fully edited and beautifully enhanced photos that truly showcase the best moments of your session.
When will I get my photos back?
Returning your photos fully retouched and edited in a timely manner is a big priority, but making sure you receive the best possible product is my main priority. You will receive 2-3 “sneak peeks” within a couple days after your session, so that you are able to tell me if there is anything you would like to have changed regarding the retouching and editing. Typically, you will receive your finished photos within 2-3 weeks, but this cannot be guaranteed. Clients usually receive their gallery within 30 days. If it is a large session, like a wedding, it will take longer to receive your finished gallery. I am very meticulous with my retouching process to ensure you receive the best photos!
How do you choose which images we receive?
After our session together, I carefully look through each and every image from the session and choose the best ones to retouch and return to you. The lighting, clarity, movement, poses, and facial expressions all play a role in my decision making. I promise to carefully choose and deliver the best images back to you.
How do I receive my photos?
Upon completion of the editing process, you will receive a digital gallery containing high-resolution photos. This gallery will be emailed to you and can be accessed with a provided PIN. You have the flexibility to download and share these photos as desired. Additionally, the option to purchase prints will be available to you once you have received your gallery.
Do you give out RAW files?
I do not give out RAW photos for a few reasons. RAW files are completely unedited photos straight from the camera. Not only are they GIANT files that require special programs to open, but it’s also an unfinished product! They are often duplicates, or unflattering poses or facial expressions that get skipped over during post-processing. Photographers put hours and hours into learning to process their work in their own style. If we gave out RAW files and someone else edited them, it wouldn’t be our work anymore. Trust me when I say I will only deliver you the best results!
What is your
experience with
photography?
I have 10 years of experience, but I am still constantly challenging myself and learning. I took an interest in photography when I was 14-15 years old. I signed up for my high school photography class and started shooting 35mm film on my Canon EOS Rebel 2000. Shortly after, I got my Nikon D3300 DSLR that I still use to this day! (If it's not broken, don't fix it, right?) After high school, I went on to pursue my photography education at College for Creative Studies in Detroit. Since then, I have been shooting creatively in my free time and as a freelance photographer.
What is your
photography
style?
I have a dynamic and evolving style as a photographer. By constantly learning and challenging myself, I am able to create timeless images while also incorporating my own artistic flair. My preference for bold, colorful, moody, sometimes earthy tones with occasional vintage touches brings a unique and captivating aesthetic to my work.
Do you require deposits? Are deposits refundable?
Can I bring my
pet?
Certainly! It's important for me to have a discussion with you before booking your pet photography session to understand more about your pet and their needs. While studio sessions may not always be possible due to possible restrictions on allowing pets, I will do my best to suggest suitable locations for the session. Please keep in mind that certain locations may have their own pet restrictions as well.
I require deposits upon booking. This deposit is non-refundable. The reason for this is so I can secure the date & time of your session, as that date is made unavailable for any other bookings. Your deposit goes toward the total cost of your session.
How do payments work? What payment methods do you accept?
Deposits are due upon booking, and the remainder of your session fee is to be paid no later than the morning of your scheduled session.
I accept payment in the form of cash, Venmo, Zelle, and Cash App.
What kind of sessions do you offer?
I offer many different options. Check out my services page here.
Where are you located?
What is your cancellation policy?
I understand that life happens. People get sick and things go wrong. If you need to reschedule for any reason, please try to give me 72 hrs notice. If you happen to fall ill the day of your session, please reschedule. I work with all age groups and cannot risk passing on anything to my beloved clients. Your photos will look better if you are feeling your best! If your reschedule is approved, your booking fee will carry over to your new date. If rescheduling more than 30 days out, a new booking fee (deposit) will be required.
IF YOU NO CALL NO SHOW, YOU ARE FORFEITING YOUR BOOKING FEE AND I WILL NOT SCHEDULE WITH YOU AGAIN. PLEASE BE MINDFUL THAT WHEN I BLOCK OFF A TIME SPOT FOR YOU, I AM HOLDING THAT SPOT FOR ONLY YOU. THEREFORE, I AM NOT ABLE TO SCHEDULE SOMEONE ELSE. I WILL NOT TOLERATE NO CALL NO SHOW CLIENTS.
I am located in St Clair Shores, MI. I service the Metro-Detroit area, but I am willing to travel. Travel fees are based on distance and if I will need overnight accommodations. This will be discussed during our booking consultation.
Unfortunately, I don’t have my own studio at the moment (that is the goal one day!). I am able to rent studio spaces. upon availability, if that is something you’re interested in. Studio sessions are a higher session fee. I also do both in-home and on-location sessions. Location recommendations are available to create the perfect backdrop for your session; find them here.

What is your photography style?I have a dynamic and ever-evolving style as a photographer. By constantly learning and challenging myself, I am able to create timeless images while also incorporating my own artistic flair. I am exceptionally drawn to creating bold, emotional, painterly-esque images that feel like more than just a photo. You can find examples of my work here.

Do you offer newborn sessions?I do not offer newborn sessions. This is simply because I do not have the educational background to provide traditional newborn sessions. I do offer lifestyle sessions. These are different than traditional newborn sessions; lifestyle sessions often take place in the home, with mom or dad holding the baby, or taking photos of the baby undisturbed in their crib or bassinet, whereas traditional newborn sessions are often done in a studio setting, with the baby swaddled or in "unnatural" poses. With that being said, please do your research and make sure the photographer you choose to photograph your newborn is experienced and properly trained in safe posing techniques. Most of the traditional newborn photos you see are actually composites, meaning two or more images have been merged together in photoshop. This is because it's unsafe to leave a baby in certain positions for long. When it comes to newborn photography, there is absolutely no room for mistakes!
-
Do you require deposits? Are deposits refundable?I require 40% deposits upon booking. This deposit is non-refundable. The reason for this is so I can secure the date & time of your session, as that date & time is made unavailable for any other bookings. Your deposit goes toward the total cost of your session.
