About Me
Hi! My name is Sara. I am a lifestyle and creative photographer based out of St Clair Shores, MI. I have about 10 years of experience, but I am still constantly challenging myself and learning. I'm passionate about capturing your unique story and perspective through my lens. I am open to all ideas and encourage my clients to be creative! With a focus on natural light and candid shots, I create timeless images that tell the tale of your unique love story, family, or special event.
I took an interest in photography when I was 14 or 15 years old. I signed up for my high school photography class and started shooting 35mm film on my Canon EOS Rebel 2000. Shortly after, I got my Nikon D3300 DSLR that I still use to this day! (If it's not broken, don't fix it, right?) After high school, I went on to pursue my photography education at College for Creative Studies in Detroit. Since then, I have been shooting creatively in my free time and also as a freelance photographer. I love to challenge myself to be as creative as possible, so don't be afraid to bring me any of your ideas! Whether you're looking for family portraits, a couples session, wedding photography, or anything else, I will help you create timeless images that you'll love for years to come.
When I'm not photographing, I'm home with my boyfriend, our daughter, and our abundance of animals. Our daughter is four years old and the light of our lives. Two months before her second birthday, we were faced with a scary, week-long hospital stay that resulted in her being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. She has come so far since then, and she's the strongest, bravest little girl I know. She is quite the diva and loves to have her photo taken. In fact, you'll see her quite often in my photos. She also helps us care for our dog, Minnie, our cats, Ivy, Frankie, and Honey, and our bunnies, Coco and Buttercup. I guess you could say we have a little farm at home. Hopefully now you can understand why I love to allow pets during sessions, because they are family!
In addition to photography, I love all mediums of art! I have been drawing for my whole life, and I've also dabbled in making clay earrings, painting, and sculpting.
